Building K went under construction on 25acres on a spec basis just more than a year ago and delivered tomarket this past summer. It was designed by Malvern, PA-basedarchitects Cathers & Associates to accommodate multiple users, says Michael J. Alderman, Eastern Region partner for the Reno-basedDP. The remainder of the brand new building, divisible to 29,000sf, remains on the market.

"Large industrial development sites that will accommodate morethan 100,000 sf are in short supply and are difficult to find,"Alderman says. "Considering the inventory of class A distributionand light manufacturing space is currently underserved in thismarket, bringing this building on line at this particular time putsus in a highly competitive position."

The start of construction for Building K, the second facilitywithin LogistiCenter at Logan, was prompted by theearly 2007 signing of Freightliner to a full-building, 366,000-sflease for the park's initial building. That initial building wassimilarly constructed on a spec basis.
