The Baltimore-headquartered DLA Piper's expansion sparked its move to the 10th floor of the 11-story, 285,182-sf class A office building at 2525 E. Camelback Rd. The law firm is vacating space at 2415 E. Camelback Rd. Meanwhile, Cushman & Wakefield has already relocated to the third floor of the 229,854-sf, 10-story building at 2555 E. Camelback Rd.
Following the transactions, 48,916 sf remains open in Esplanade II while 6,300 sf is still available in Esplanade V. Rent quotes range from $43.50 per sf to $45 per sf, full service.
Representing the asset's owner, MetLife Inc. of New York City, were Jerome Jacobs, C&W senior director, and Larry Downey, an executive director. C&W's team did not return calls by deadline to comment on the deals. DLA Piper's team consisted of Mark Robbins, executive vice president with Transwestern Chicago, and William Zurek and Jim Achen, senior vice presidents in the Phoenix office.
In a separate transaction, Winfield Investment Partners, a venture capital firm, signed a 5,189-sf lease for Esplanade IV at 2575 E. Camelback Rd. The firm has moved into the 206,222-sf building, leaving just 12,588 sf on the market. Adam Tolson, an associate for Phoenix-based Lee & Associates, office represented Winfield Investment Partners, which moved from 8525 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd.
