The layoffs are small compared to the firm's national reach,which is made up of about 6,500 employees. The spokesman also saysthat the layoffs are not significant when spread across Cushman'sUS offices.
In Chicago, where the Crain's report was generated, therewere 20 layoffs, including broker John Simon and the land salesgroup, which is headed by Peter Block. Simon says that the groupwill stay together and form its own practice.
