AVENTURA-Biscayne Medical Properties LLC has sold a vacant43,000-square-foot commercial development site to a MexicoCity-based group for $5.5 million. The seller bought the vacantland with the intention of finding a developer to buy it, saysMichael Stein, managing director of Miami-based Aztec Group, theexclusive representative for the property.
"The new owner plans to construct an office building, and withthe proximity to Aventura Hospital [within 1,000 feet] willprobably market some of the space to doctors," Stein tellsGlobeSt.com. The site, located on Biscayne Boulevard along thecounty line between Miami-Dade and Broward across from GulfstreamPark Racing & Casino, has been approved for a70,000-square-foot medical office building.
