John Louis leased 70,000 square feet in Building Seven. Thecompany will use the space for international distribution, saysCheryl Muniz, a VP with ProLogis. Superior has taken 23,300 squarefeet at Building 10, where it will operate the space on behalf ofHussman, a refrigeration and food merchandising equipmentmanufacturer. Muniz says she can't say what the exact rates were,but says average leases range from $3.90 to $4.30 per square footin the park.

ProLogis has 10 buildings in the large park, Muniz says. "Demandis strong here, mostly because you can go in any direction to anypoint across the country fairly easily," she says. The industrialpark is part of the Earth City business center, which includes sixmillion square feet of office and industrial buildings.

Her company has 16 buildings in the St. Louis area, with about2.9 million square feet and customers including Unilever, theUnited States Postal Service and Sara Lee Corp. However, thecompany recently announced it has halted all newdevelopment because of the economy.
