TAMPA, FL-Locally based Plasencia Group Inc. has been hired byFelCor Lodging Trust Inc. to handle the sale of two of its largesthotels, the 652-room Holiday Inn Orlando International Drive Resortand the 500-key Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach Oceanfront. Both hotels areamong eight properties being marketed by FelCor around the US.
GlobeSt.com reported earlierthis month that FelCor was putting hotels in Florida, Texas, NorthCarolina and Kansas up for sale as part of a customary circulationof its portfolio to grow shareholder value. The Irving, TX-basedREIT, which has 14 hotels in Florida, also looks to sell its277-room Embassy Suites-Bay Meadows hotel in Jacksonville.
