The three buildings, measuring 29,005 square feet, 8,060 square feet and 3,500 square feet for a pharmacy are on eight acres at Wilshire Boulevard and Lakewood Drive. The as-yet-unnamed project is being designed by Daniels and Lovelady Architecture in Irving, TX, and will also have 256-car parking lot. The center will eventually offer a fitness center, as well as an MRI, ultrasound machines and CT scans.
A spokesman with Texas Health Resources says the company owns and operates Harris Methodist Southwest in Fort Worth and Harris Methodist Walls Regional in Cleburne, TX. "There are facilities on either side of the Burleson area, but nothing specific in Burleson itself," the spokesman comments. "Our philosophy is that we try to build facilities that provide easy, convenient access for medical care close to where people life and work."
Texas Health Resources, headquartered in Arlington, TX, owns and operates 12 acute-care hospitals and a long-term care hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Also in the portfolio are on-campus medical office buildings. The organization's spokesman tells GlobeSt.com that Burleson's rapid growth facilitated the decision to build medical office product in the Fort Worth suburb. The leasing company for the project hasn't been determined.
Brad Rupay, executive vice president with Fort Worth-based Innovative Developers says the project is the first off-campus one the company has done with Texas Health Resources, though the two organizations have worked together on other developments. "This is a good location for them," Rupay comments. "There's a residential development right next to it and a planned subdivision on the other side." Also within range, he adds, is the Willow Creek Crossing fire station.
