This lease is an expansion of a relationship PrimeSource has with ProLogis, bringing the space it leases with the global firm to approximately 338,000 square feet. Besides Maryland, it also leases space with ProLogis in Texas.
Despite the slowdown in shipping activity overall, the Baltimore/Washington, DC corridor is still an attractive distribution point for many firms, Mark Levy, vice president and market officer for ProLogis, says in a prepared statement. Besides access to a number of ports, a DC-Baltimore distribution location offers easy access to the Northeast and Midwest.
Hickory Ridge Distribution Center is located off of Highway 40 in Aberdeen, MD--a submarket north of Baltimore. The distribution center is equidistant from the Interstate 95 interchanges at Aberdeen Throughway and Riverside Parkway. Other customers at the park include Solo Cup Co. and William A. Saks & Co.
