Senior vice president Irv Gilner and Sandy Gschwendtner, both with Transwestern, represented the tenant in the lease. "Since Enablon was seeking an appropriate North American headquarters and needed flexibility, Transwestern was able to secure space in this building with aggressive rates and flexible terms allowing for future growth and expansion," Gilner said. The Paris, France-based company is hoping to grow its business in the US.

The 3.8-million-sf Sears Tower is currently about 81% occupied, says a spokesman for U.S. Equities Asset Management LLC, the building's management and leasing agent. "Tenants know that Sears Tower is a global icon with timeless architecture, unmatched views and amenities, and a superb location at very competitive rates," the spokesman tells GlobeSt.com. The property is owned by 233 S. Wacker LLC, which includes American Landmark Properties, the Chetrit Group and the Moinian Group. Asking lease rates in the tower range from the mid-teens to the mid-20s.
