When it delivers in Q2 2010, this building--COPT's first in the park--will be a three-story, 80,000-square-foot, class A office facility.MITRE also recently inked a prelease with another building COPT has under construction. The company will be occupying 73,000 square feet in a seven-story, 188,000-square-foot office building--the fourth structure to go into development in Phase II of the National Business Park in Annapolis Junction.

MITRE is expanding in this area to accommodate changes under the Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC), according to Randall M. Griffin, president and CEO of Corporate Office Properties Trust.

"We are pleased to sign our first lease in the North GateBusiness Park related to BRAC and evidencing the tenant demand for office space adjacent to Aberdeen Proving Ground," he says in a prepared statement. COPT did not return a call to GlobeSt.com in time for publication.
