592,000-square-foot renewal with the Coast Guard and a 144,000-square-foot renewal with Boeing.

Its latest deal is an 11,130-square-foot new lease with Arlington County's Department of Environmental Services, Division of Transportation. The County's 10-year lease is for space at 1501 Wilson Blvd. Currently, the commuter services division operates out of two separate buildings in Rosslyn. The DOT will consolidate its operations with its new lease; it will occupy the entire eleventh floor, leaving the building with only a 2% vacancy. Arlington County represented itself in the deal. John Wharton and Rob Bowman negotiated the lease internally for Monday Properties.

This will be the first tenant undertaking a LEED certified build out, Wharton, VP and regional director of leasing for Monday Properties, tells GlobeSt.com. Asking rate is $40 per square foot for the building, he says.

This is the second lease Monday Properties signed with Arlington County. In December, the County leased 53,000 square feet at 1101 Wilson Blvd., for the proposed new Rosslyn Cultural Center. For its space at 1501 Wilson Blvd., Monday Properties is making tenant improvements that will be LEED CI certified.
