"He's a good fit to expand our capital raising opportunities for what's going to happen in today's market," says Tim Burns, founder of the real estate investment management firm, which focuses on multifamily. "He brings a vast experience level and he's a seasoned veteran with a great background. There's a lot of opportunity coming and we're preparing for it with his hire."
Burns emphasized Pantone's capital markets knowledge as a primary impetus for his hire. Previous to his employment at Buchanan, Pantone worked as a co-founder and managing director of AEG Real Estate Advisors, and as VP and senior investment officer at Heller Real Estate Financial Services. Pantone specialized in origination and closing of new investments in his positions at AEG and Heller.
"We're going to continue to focus on multifamily and look for the opportunities coming in the next few years," Burns tells GlobeSt.com. "Right now, like everything else, multifamily is not doing very well, but it's presenting a lot of future opportunities across the spectrum of assets, class A and B. There's a lot of distressed sellers in the market and we plan to take advantage of it."
Pantone says he first became acquainted with the partners at Adams LaSalle in his time at Buchanan when the two companies engaged in several joint ventures.
"Adams LaSalle has very experienced guys with a nice niche in multifamily, and it's a good cultural fit," Pantone tells GlobeSt.com. "I thought it was a good opportunity in this cycle to move on the partnership side and do something a little more entrepreneurial."
