operate a racino at the Aqueduct racetrack in Queens has fallen through, according to an article in the New York Times.

Citing difficulties in lining up financing, Buffalo-based Delaware North, which was awarded the contract to build a 328,000-square-foot video lottery terminal facility at Aqueduct last October, says it will miss the deadline on a $370-million upfront payment to the state.

According to the Times, the state plans to re-open bidding on the project. A partnership of SL Green Realty and Hard Rock was among the bidders last spring. To read the complete Times article, click here.
