The new unit offers strategic planning and programming, fit planning, team selection, budget and schedule management, construction and move management, and cost segregation and local energy rebate execution, among other services. Stone, who most recently completed assignments for concert promoter Live Nation and the business consultancy Service Source, could not immediately be reached Wednesday afternoon for comment.

Service Source reportedly hired Stone to manage the build-out of a historic, 45,000-square-foot building in the South of Market district such that it came in under budget and prior to the lease signature. Stone facilitated the design process, preconstruction and construction phases, information technology design and implementation, carpet procurement and move-in.

As part of that process Stone reportedly reconfigured deployment of contractor staffing and reduced project schedule by two weeks. Stone also managed the building owner's adherence to lease work letter and tenant improvement allowance and was reportedly able to reduce costs by $8 per square foot by finding savings in the carpeting, finishes and other materials.

For Southern California-based Live Nation Stone provided real estate consultation and management of programming/design, construction and relocation, and negotiated the procurement of carpeting and furniture for a 20,000 square-foot office space. Stone reportedly assisted real estate brokers and client in negotiations, lease document development and construction work letter contracts that saved the client more than $50,000 in construction of landlord related base building issues.

Stone says that while the unique design enhanced the open truss structural system within the office environment it also created in-the-field constructability challenges and budget issues. Through early design development, Stone reportedly led weekly value-engineering exercises that resolved constructability issues and kept design intent while meeting the budget and reducing project costs by over $300,000.
