DeVries is an industrial specialist who formerly was with CB Richard Ellis and will be based in the Irvine and Ontario offices of Colliers. Foroughi is a retail investment specialist who formerly was with Sperry Van Ness, and Pisarik joins Studley after 22 years at Colliers.

[IMGCAP(2)]At CBRE, DeVries was with the Ontario office of CB Richard Ellis, where he closed transactions totaling more than $400 million, including the leasing and sales of six million square feet of industrial space in the Inland Empire market. He worked at Grubb & Ellis for 10 years before joining Colliers International in 1997, formerly Colliers Seeley International, and then CB Richard Ellis in 2002.

[IMGCAP(3)]Martin Pupil, senior managing director of Colliers International in Greater Los Angeles, points out that DeVries is one of numerous brokers and other professionals in commercial real estate who have changed firms lately. According to Pupil, such changes are to be expected in the current economic landscape.

Foroughi formerly was a senior vice president at the Irvine office of Sperry Van Ness, where he closed transactions valued in excess of $120 million since 2006, with his transaction volume over the past five years reaching nearly $250 million. Pupil notes that Foroughi, in addition to executing his own transactions, "is also a very thoughtful and considerate mentor to junior brokers" and will play a larger role at Colliers in that sense as well.

At Studley, Pisarik joins his new firm after spending his entire 22 years in the commercial real estate industry at Colliers, where he was a tenant rep. According to Pisarik, Studley's tenant representation platform was the key factor in attracting him to the firm.

Pisarik has negotiated more than 6.2 million square feet of transactions, valued at $700 million, since 1997. Among his high-profile transactions, he represented Option One Mortgage Corp. in a 246,500-square-foot office lease, one of the largest transactions in Orange County. Joining Pisarik at Studley is assistant director Scott Becket, also formerly of Colliers, who focuses on advising tenants headquartered in Orange County.
