The new Homewood Suites is located at 16450 Corporate Commerce Way, near Florida Gulf Coast University and Southwest Florida International Airport. It is owned and managed by Memphis-based Cooper Hotels, with Debbie Clark, a 20-year industry veteran, serving as general manager.
"We continue to see strong demand in the extended stay hotel segment and feel this property helps to fill a need in the area surrounding the airport in Fort Myers," Clark says. She notes that Homewood Suites offers great value to business and leisure travelers during difficult economic times.
Homewood Suites by Hilton has opened more than 250 hotels over the past 20 years, with approximately 140 in the development pipeline. The brand is a guest favorite among both business and leisure travelers, consistently taking the top spot on key satisfaction studies.
