"(Veon's) 20 years of transactional experience and suburban market knowledge will be a tremendous contribution to this office as we navigate through this ever-changing economic climate and continue expanding our offices and our platform of services," says Kevin Duckler, managing principal of Newmark Knight Frank's Midwest region.

Veon's work with GVA Chicago, formerly known as GVA Williams, led to the development of more than 300,000 square feet of office buildings in suburbs including Arlington Heights, Westchester and Glenview.

Previous to work at GVA, Veon spent seven years working as VP in the realty brokerage division at Mesirow Financial. His tenure there concentrated on office and industrial tenant representation in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and included working for several years as the exclusive listing agent of the 1.8-million-square-foot One First National Bank building. Veon received his bachelor's in communications from the University of Illinois.
