The largest of AMB's commitments in the Chicago metro market was the lease of a 440,000-square-foot warehouse at 855 Wood Dale Rd. by American Procurement & Logistics Inc., a subsidiary of SuperValu Inc., as previously reported by GlobeSt.com. Another notable commitment was Phoenix International Freight Services' lease of 54,000 square feet at 1501 Mittel Blvd. in Wood Dale. Constructed in 1986, the 72,000-square-foot single-story building is located in the Chancellory Business Park and close to Interstate 290 and O'Hare International Airport.
"AMB understands our business and our space requirements and has been a vital real estate partner with us in multiple North American markets," Augie Swengros, director of facilities at Phoenix International Freight Services, says. "AMB's customer-focused approach and expedited leasing process ensures we can adapt as our presence expands in Chicago."
Phoenix was represented in the deal by Andrea Van Gelder, Diana Riekse and Trevor Ragsdale with Jones Lang LaSalle, while AMB was represented by Dan Bessey and Rob Graham of CB Richard Ellis.
Further activity included the lease of a 50,000-square-foot property at 801 Frontenac Rd. in Naperville by Collision Centers of America Inc. Built in 1984, the facility sits on two acres and offers four interior truck docks, 20-foot clear ceilings and proximity to Interstate 88. Collision Centers was represented by David Freidland with Epic Savage Realty Partners in the transaction.
