"We're very pleased to welcome this property to our swiftly growing family of upscale extended-stay hotels," says Robert Radomski, VP of Global Brand Management. "This is the second Staybridge Suites to open this year in the Milwaukee market, and we're pleased to have a hotel located in an exciting and forward-thinking development like Pabst Farms."

This 128-room hotel marks IHG's second foray into the Milwaukee market. Earlier this year, as reported by GlobeSt.com, the hotelier first entered the market with the construction of the Staybridge Suites Milwaukee Airport South in at 9575 S. 27th St., Franklin, WI. The 118-key hotel broke ground in February 2008.

Construction on the Oconomowoc asset started in August 2008. The construction cost for the project was not released, although the airport hotel cost $12 million to build. It is located on the 1,500-acre Pabst Farms site and directly across the street from the Aurora Medical Center, which is slated to open in 2010.

IHG has a third hotel underway, this one in the central business district of Milwaukee. The hotel, located at 1150 N. Water St., broke ground in October 2007 and is expected to deliver in the third quarter. The Staybridge Suites Milwaukee will contain 117 rooms.
