"A project like this brings unique challenges when compared to new construction as it is more difficult to define the scope of work required to meet current code standards," says Leathem of Principle. "We were able to provide our services and complete the work required to bring this building up to current standards. We delivered the customer with a building that works with his business format within the predetermined budget criteria all of which resulted in a very happy client."
To bring the building up to current code standards, Principle's work entailed removal and relocation of tenant demising walls, lighting, HVAC equipment, fire sprinkler system and electrical distribution equipment. An electrical recircuiting of the building and reconfiguring of the HVAC system was also performed, and a new fire system installed throughout. Timothy Morgan Associates provided architectural services on the project.
