"I feel like this is the right position at the right time for me," Sampson tells GlobeSt.com, noting that in his new position he will be far more involved in tenant-representation transactions and less with administrative and personnel duties. He adds that joining Studley allows him to become involved with a national company with a proven platform measuring more than a half-century.
Sampson has worked for a broad range of commercial real estate firms throughout his 30-year career, including Insignia/ESG, Echelon, Coldwell Banker Commercial Brokerage and Cushman & Wakefield. He has negotiated more than five million square feet of transactions throughout Florida in office and industrial development, leasing and investment sales.
"As one of Florida's top brokers, it's clear he has a visible passion for his work and the art of the deal," says Cheri O'Neil, Studley senior vice president and Tampa branch manager. "We're pleased with his decision to transition into exclusively representing tenants and are confident that he will be an asset not only to our clients but Studley's Tampa office as well."
Sampson, a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in economics, is co-founder of the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors and is a past president of Naiop Tampa Bay. He retains a small ownership stake in Colliers Arnold.
