Buildout of the corporate office park at Mallard Creek Church Road and North Tryon Street could take five years or longer, depending on the economy. But BofA hopes to start the first phase in the near future, a representative told the Charlotte City Council last week.

The first phase calls for a 200,000-square-foot signature building up to 200 feet tall, followed by a second 265-foot structure. The development also could include up to 75,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and other uses, such as child-care centers.

BofA bought the 24 acres last year for nearly $8 million. Click here to read more from the Charlotte Business Journal.
