"Strategically we see the opportunity for there to be another large global real estate firm in addition to [Jones Lang LaSalle and CB Richard Ellis]," Taylor tells GlobeSt.com. At G&E, Taylor was responsible for approximately 4,000 employees in six countries delivering services across all corporate service product lines globally and managing in excess of 250 million square feet of corporate facilities management and property management assignments.
Douglas Frye, president/CEO of FirstService CRE globally and president of Colliers International, says Taylor's initial focus will be to grow the operation's corporate service offering across the US. He also is charged with increasing the capabilities and impact of the company's property management services platform.
"The addition…presents a major opportunity to grow our business," Frye says. "Taylor brings…a proven track-record of building integrated services for clients."
Taylor cites among other reasons for his move FirstService's operating structure, which allows for local executives to have a direct stake in the success of their business, something CB Richard Ellis and JLL do not offer, he says. "This operating model works extremely well and offers the opportunity to drive substantial growth through further integration and strategic client account management, while delivering on increasingly complex multi-service line and multi-market client requirements.
