"Overseeing Grubb & Ellis' growth strategy in Seattle is a challenging and unique opportunity for me," he says in a prepared statement. "I'm excited about the enormous potential that exists to grow the company in the Pacific Northwest."

Indeed, Dean says the company currently has 16 brokers in the Seattle office and he would like to see that nearly double. "It takes between 25 and 30 brokers to cover a market."
