Additionally, the New York State Health Foundation, a private organization, has signed a 17,000-square-foot lease. Both transactions were handled by Cushman & Wakefield, which took over leasing at the 24-story office property at the beginning of this year. Asking rents there range from $38 to $42 per square foot.

According to published reports, Thomas Sullivan of Hunter Realty represented Paris Accessories, while Laurence Briody and Susan Kahaner of CB Richard Ellis represented the New York State Health Foundation. Year-to-date, C&W has arranged 150,000 square feet worth of leases at 1385 Broadway, including 10 new leases and 15 renewals. Other recent deals include a 45,500-square-foot renewal with ZanaDi and a 4,788-square-foot lease for BMGM Co.

C&W's Jonathan Serko says in a release that the leasing team is "very pleased with our results year-to-date" at 1385 Broadway. He says Bloomingdale has been "extremely effective in retaining, targeting and attracting the right tenants for the building." Serko's C&W colleagues in leasing 1385 Broadway include Gary Greenspan, Diana Gaines and David Malawer, along Larry Lazerwitz of the firm's strategic agency services group.
