"Besides excellent access to the Tri-State Tollway and the company's employee base, the Wheeling building provides the truck docks and drive-in doors they need to facilitate shipping and receiving of product," Block says. "The company also qualified for Cook County's 6b Tax Reduction program."

Wood Brothers relocated and expanded its metal-stamping operations from a smaller building in Chicago to the Wheeling building. Built in the mid-'70s, the two-acre property is expandable to 45,000 square feet, currently offering 4,000 square feet of office, 25-foot clear ceilings, two truck docks, four drive-in doors and parking. The move came as part of a strategic business growth plan for the company and its divisions - Panther American and Midwest Perforating.
