In Mixer, the local office has one of the top dogs in the Colliers organization. He sits not only on the board of directors of Colliers largest franchisee, Colliers Parrish International, but also Colliers USA Board of Directors. He also sits on Colliers' international governance committee and is a top producing broker to boot.

There was no word on what happened with Campbell, director of sales for Lennar Homes prior to taking the assignment. Mixer was away on business Monday and unavailable for an interview and Campbell could not be reached for comment. Fellow brokers tell GlobeSt.com they were shocked at his sudden departure and do not have current contact information for him.

"Michael Campbell left Colliers based upon a mutual decision between all of us; it was on good terms," Mixer tells GlobeSt.com in a prepared statement, adding that he is taking over the local Colliers office "on a permanent basis."

Colliers International has 293 affiliate offices in 61 countries in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Greater Asia. Colliers Parrish International, based in San Jose, CA, has 11 offices in California and Nevada.

Campbell, who co-founded the Nevada sales and Marketing Council and holds a Nevada real estate license, was the managing partner of First Residential RE Services and vice president/division manager of Coleman Construction and Coleman Homes in Nevada and California prior to joining Lennar. Back in January, Mixer said Campbell was hired for his leadership ability, industry expertise and his specific knowledge of the Southern Nevada real estate market.

"Campbell will provide the fiscal oversight and comprehensive management coordination that is necessary to guide the company as it responds to the dynamic changes in the local real estate economy," Mixer said at the time.

The hiring of Campbell was prompted by the departure of Vic Donovan, who was managing director of the office from 2003 to 2008. He left the network for the opportunity to become a principal with NAI Global and executive managing director of its local office.
