The project calls for three bedroom town houses priced for a family of four with an income of $95,000. Twelve of the units will be reserved for residents currently living in the Lincoln Heights/Richardson Dwellings New Community, located nearby. Construction is expected to begin by early 2010; the first units will deliver by Sept. 2010 with completion scheduled for mid-2011.
Other recent projects include the 26-unit housing project at 4427 Hayes St. that Blue Skye Development is building. It is a $5 million project that will deliver nine homes for residents at Lincoln Heights/Richardson Dwellings New Community. Other projects underway in this submarket include the first phase of construction for the nearby $8 million Marvin Gaye Park. The District is also in the process of selecting developers for nearby sites at 5201 Hayes Street and Dix Street and Eastern Avenue. The $33 million Deanwood recreation center is under construction and expected to deliver in May. Also, the new HD Woodson Senior High School is under construction and will be ready for September 2011.
