Hessam Nadji, managing director of research services with Encino, CA-based Marcus & Millichap, will begin the conference with a keynote address at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Town Hall Meeting examining the region's property sectors. Elective sessions on retail opportunities and the future of office and industrial markets in South Florida will take place concurrently at 1:30 p.m.
The multifamily sector, a hot topic given the region's perceived oversupply of residential condominium units, will take place at 3 p.m., with a panel discussion on the risks and rewards of distressed assets concluding the conference at 4:10 p.m. A cocktail reception will be held afterward.
Kim Last, RealShare conference producer, tells GlobeSt.com that the event is a prime opportunity to hear from and network with key players in South Florida commercial real estate. "The distressed assets panel and the breakout sessions on office/industrial and retail will be standouts," she says.
At least 200 people are expected to attend RealShare South Florida, now in its fourth year. Click here for more information, including online registration and a detailed agenda.
RealShare, part of GlobeSt.com parent ALM, plans two conferences in Florida this fall. RealShare Central Florida is set for Nov. 18 at the Rosen Plaza hotel in Orlando.
