Charlotte, NC-based developer Crosland LLC has been working toward Terrazzo's LEED certification over the past two years. Factors include a high level of regional and renewable materials used in its construction and floor-to-ceiling glass that allows for natural light.

"Through this rigorous certification process, Crosland has set a new standard for sustainable living and work environments in Nashville," says Bill Barkley, president of Crosland's Tennessee division. "As Crosland's first LEED-certified project, Terrazzo also sets a new standard for all of the company's future developments."

Located at 12th Avenue South and Division Street, Terrazzo has a combination of condominium, office and retail space, with 117 condo units priced between $290,000 and $1.6 million. Other "green" elements within the 300,000-square-foot building include bamboo flooring, paint and carpeting with low volatile organic compounds, white roof materials, and special parking for bicycles and fuel-efficient cars.
