CBRE Investors is the institutional investment advisory arm of CBRE. It controls a $36-billion global portfolio totaling approximately 35 million square feet. The new position is patterned after the Alliance Director model CBRE has successfully established with other strategic client relationships.
Vance Maddocks, CEO of CBRE Investors, says Fitkin's charge will be to align service delivery with CBRE Investors' overall objectives, drive service consistency and performance optimization across the portfolio, and identify opportunities to grow the relationship. He will be serving both the US and global CBRE Investors portfolios."
"Although I'll be on a plane more I'm staying in Portland, which is attractive to me, and I'm taking on a much broader role that will provide lots of exposure and opportunity," Fitkin tells GlobeSt.com. "It's a wonderful opportunity."
Fitkin has spent his entire 23-year commercial real estate career with CBRE in Portland, the last 12 years overseeing all of the company's local operations. His first order of business as Global Alliance Director is to replace himself as managing director of the Portland office so he can focus on the new assignment. He expects to hire his successor by the end of the year.
