California Accessories is currently located at 2992 Alvarado St. in San Leandro. The company is expected to be up and running in its new space by December. The brokers involved--Joe Fabian of C7C for California Accessories and Mike Schonenberg of WPI Investments for EastGroup, were not immediately available Tuesday for comment. California Accessories CEO Frederic Grethel also was unavailable for comment.
The relocation is meant to expand and upgrade the company's distribution operation, according to the lease announcement by C&C. California Accessories manufactures and distributes cases for eyeglass, sunglass and reading glasses, lens cleaning solutions, contact lens accessories and eyewear chains and cords. The company is also a major provider of private label and OEM products.
