Previously based in Coral Gables, MBS has been in operation since 1960 and describes itself as the largest privately owned billing service for hospital-based physicians. It operates in 10 states and represents 38 radiology practices.
Gwinnett Center, which totals 264,000 square feet, is owned and managed by Atlanta-based Kaufman Realty Group. The company, established in 1994, has additional office properties in Atlanta, Orlando, Charlotte, NC and Jacksonville, FL.
"We moved quickly to understand MBS' needs and then responded quickly with a creative solution that works for both parties," says Craig Kaufman, president of Kaufman Realty Group. "Also, we try to keep the leasing process simple and focus on one tenant at a time, regardless of their size."
MBS worked with Gannon Shepherd of Jones Lang LaSalle in lease negotiations, while Kirk Rich of Rich Real Estate Services represented the landlord. Sara Herald with WorkWise Group served as MBS' project manager, overseeing space improvements.
In a related note, LG Hausys America Inc., a window and interior materials producer, has signed a 10,000-square-foot lease at 900 Circle 75 Parkway in Cobb County. The company is moving its US headquarters from New Jersey, bringing 30 employees, and will bring its current local management in Adairsville at the Circle 75 space, which is owned by B.F. Saul Co. CresaPartners represented the tenant.
