The Cisco-CBRE relationship commenced in 1999 and includes theprovision of facilities management, tactical space planning, andmove management services within select Cisco sites. CBRE says in aprepared statement that it was selected for the multi-year globalagreement after a competitive evaluation process. It declined tocomment beyond the press release. CBRE senior managing directorJamie Ergle is the Alliance Director for the company's Ciscorelationship.

The consolidation of project management was an importantinitiative within Cisco's larger global resource optimizationprogram driven by Cisco Workplace Resources. The goal of theprogram is improved cost, enhanced performance and consistency. ACisco spokesperson was unavailable Wednesday for comment on what,if any, near-term construction projects will be handled byCBRE.

A key component of Cisco's operational goals is the developmentof a universal, scalable platform that can be consistently andrapidly leveraged on behalf of its portfolio and clients." Cisco'sWorkplace Resources senior director David Wagner says he believesCBRE offers that platform.
