The FirstService office, headed by former GVA Advantispresident Tim Hague and several GVA staffers, has brought on boardScott Thiell and Roger Carlson, principals of the former FirstRetail Partners team, and another former First Retail team member,Jason Yanushonis, has also joined the firm as a director.

They are also, of course, bringing along their active clientbase in the greater Washington-Baltimore-area, which numbers about25, Carlson tells Several of these firms, includingTrader Joes, Panera Bread and HSBC Bank are actively seeking retaillocations right now, he says. Other clients in First Retail'sportfolio include Hooter's, Pret-A-Manger and Advance Auto Parts.Thiell and Carlson's specialty, he says, are multi-unitrollouts.

At FirstService, they will be principals of the retail servicesdivision where they will focus on tenant representation services,including property leasing, urban/downtown leasing and investmentsales.
