Tenant representative Ryan Fuselier with Jones Lang LaSalle's Houston office tells GlobeSt.com that officials at Bayou Packaging launched the search for new space so the company could better serve its client base. Fuselier, who partnered with Jones Lang LaSalle colleague Jeff Venghaus on the transaction, adds that Windfern Distribution Center, owned by Atlanta-based Windfern Distribution Corp., was the best fit for the tenant.
The 1970s property is at 6323-6399 Windfern Rd., near State Highway 290 and Beltway 8/Sam Houston Tollway. Bayou Packaging, a packaging distribution company headquartered in Southern California, is currently located at 2830 Produce Row.
"There were several sites in competition for their business," Fuselier adds. "ING was willing to be aggressive to get this deal done." He declined to discuss lease terms, but says the deal includes a space build-out. Brian Gammill of Transwestern's Houston office represented the landlord and ING Clarion was the advisor.
