"The completion of this prominent hotel property further enhances McShane's portfolio of hospitality work," says Jeffrey Raday, president of McShane. "Since this is McShane's second completion of an Aloft project within the Chicago area, we've gained considerable experience and knowledge of constructing the contemporary features found at this high profile property."

Campbell Architects designed the facility. McShane constructed the hotel and also oversaw all the site work, landscaping and surface parking. As GlobeSt.com reported, the hotel portion of the 200-acre development project was first announced in April 2008, with an initial completion date of July 2009.

The first portion of the Promenade Bolingbrook opened in 2007, though construction continues on the development, which is expected to be valued around $350 million when completed.

The hotel, is the fourth Aloft Hotel to open throughout the country over the last 12 months and it is LTD's first Aloft Hotel in Illinois. The building houses 155 rooms, a meeting room, fitness center and pool, as well as the brand's signature w xyz bar.

Aloft is a brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. and is a spin-off of the W Hotels.
