The company is moving from Parkridge Blvd., also in Reston, where it occupied approximately 30% less space. It'll be moving in February. Steve Ranck and Dee Miller of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Tier Technologies. The landlord was represented by Mike Pepper, Jeff Roman and John DiCamillo of CB Richard Ellis.
The Campus at Sunrise, where 11130 Sunrise Valley Dr. is located, is a three-building, 254,280 square foot complex. There is approximately 53,000 square feet left in the campus, bringing its occupancy to 85%. The building itself is 93% occupied, BPG manager Keith Knight, tells GlobeSt.com. Asking rates are $27 per square foot, net electric.
2009, not to state the obvious, was a difficult one, but Knight says leasing activity is picking up. The firm recently signed a deal for 20,000 square feet in Arlington, VA. In October, it also announced some 100,000 square feet of transactions in Crystal City, VA.
Earlier this year, BPG stepped up its presence in the area with the appointment of local executive Brian Fitzgerald to head the DC operations. Prior to Fitzgerald's appointment, the DC area operations were run out of the Philadelphia office.
BPG has a 2.5-million-square-foot DC-area and regional area portfolio and expects to expand its portfolio here over the next 12 months through investments out of its $850-million Fund 8.
