The deal sandwiches a year-end renewal for 187,000 square feet at the Aerospace Building at 901 D St., SW--space occupied by the Administration for Children & Families of the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).
Thus far, GSA has awarded 1.1 million square feet in Q1 of Fiscal Year 2010, according to the agency. In Fiscal Year 2009, it awarded leases for more than 8.4 million square feet. Other recent deals include the US Department of Agriculture's 330,000 square feet at the 380,087-square-foot Patriots Plaza III in SW and the IRS lease for 167,000 square feet at 77 K St., NE.
