Herskowitz, whose commercial real estate career spans a quartercentury, will be part of a Cohen Bros. team that carries out theleasing program for approximately 11 million square feet ofManhattan office space, including 623 Fifth Ave., 3 E. 54th St., 3Park Ave. and 805 Third Ave. In a statement, Charles Cohen, CEO andpresident of Cohen Bros., says he's confident that Herskowitz's"talent and extensive experience" will prove to be "a valuableresource to our organization."

As president and CEO of Grubb & Ellis New York, Herskowitzled the overall operations of the firm's tri-state regionaloffices. Prior to that position, he served as executive managingdirector of Newmark, where he was responsible for the entirebrokerage division. He had previously represented tenants andowners in the sale and leasing of office space at Insignia ESG.

Herskowitz began his commercial real estate career as thefounder of Priority Funding Inc., a commercial mortgage company. Helater went on to establish R.E. Quest of New York, a sales, leasingand financial services firm. Herskowitz then served as director ofLawrence Properties, a division of the Bernstein Organization,where he established the firm's brokerage division.
