The promotion puts Mobley in charge of some of the company's biggest offices, and its largest real estate services area. He will be responsible for the Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh offices as well as 16 affiliate offices.
"Shawn is a proven leader whose success in strengthening our presence in the Chicago market and dedication to delivering unparalleled client service make him the ideal choice for this expanded position," says Jack Van Berkel, COO and president of Real Estate Services.
Previously, Mobley worked diligently to build relationship with a number of local and national companies. He has created connections with A.J. Gallagher, United Stationers, and Smurfit Stone.
"By leveraging his success in driving profitability, recruiting and building long-term, multi-service client relationships, Grubb & Ellis will be better positioned to take advantage of the recovering commercial real estate market," Van Berkel says.
Mobley joined Grubb & Ellis in 2005 as managing director in the Chicago office. In December 2008 he was promoted to Midwest director. Since joining the company, Mobley has recruited more than 50 brokers to Grubb & Ellis.
"I am extremely excited about this new role. Having been with Grubb & Ellis since 2005, I know firsthand about Grubb & Ellis' commitment to excellence and client service, and I'm proud to have the opportunity to contribute to the company's continued growth," Mobley says.
