"It demonstrates the continued viability of well-located, well-conceived medical office projects like Sterling Bay's Burr Ridge Medical Center."
The medical center will sit on a seven-acre plot at Interstate 55 and County Line Road. As part of the project, there will be parking space for 416 vehicles. The total construction cost of the project was not disclosed.
The core and shell of the building is slated to be complete by September 2010. Loyola University Health System will occupy the first two floors by February 2011.
In addition to Ryan Cos. And Sterling Bay Cos, Proteus Group has been tapped as architect and mechanical and electrical engineer. Lindsay & Associates Inc.. will act as the structural engineer; Jacob & Hefner Associates Inc. is the civil engineer; and David R. McCallum Associates Inc. is the landscape architect.
