Airpot Expansion in a Holding Pattern

HYANNIS, MA-The Barnstable Municipal Airport is experiencing delays which will push the project's start into July or later, says the Cape Cod Times.

The project, slated at $20 million, has already seen a delay when its original plan came in over budget by $4 to $6 million. The master plan, currently incomplete, is a main factor holding up the ground-breaking. The delays have lost the project state money and the further delays may cause higher construction bids.
