Mid-America Asset Management Inc exclusively handles Marshfield's leasing. Executives with the company say Burlington Coat Factory will move into its new space in April of this year.

The new lease brings the 454,000-square-foot retail center to 90% occupied. Other tenants include Target, Petco, Jewel-Osco, Staples, Marshalls and LA Fitness. The development sits on 38 acres of land at West 119th Street and South Marshfield Avenue.

As GlobeSt.com reported, the $95 million shopping center opened in July 2009. Construction began in August 2007 on the property, with asking lease rates marketed at around $36 per square foot net. The shopping center is located on the site of a former 500,000-square-foot Libby Food canning plant. The property sees 120,000 passing cars daily, and has about 185,000 residents in the three-mile trade area.

Mid-America's Richard Spinell, Paul Bryant and Mary Beth Menelli represented the landlord, Primestor Development of Chicago. Gershman Brown Crowley's Brad Gershman represented the new tenant.

New Jersey-based Burlington Coat Factory now operates 414 stores in 44 states and Puerto Rico.
