The six locations that LRG developed for CVS last year included three in Southern California and three in Central California. The three in Southern California included a store in Whittier, a store in Huntington Beach across from the Huntington Beach Pier, and a store in La Quinta.pIn Central California, LRG developed three CVS locations in Bakersfield, including a store at the high-traffic intersection of Stockdale and California that was the CVS chain's first new store development in the Bakersfield market as well as the first freestanding prototype store with a drive-through for CVS in Bakersfield.

The other two Bakersfield stores were developed at the corner of Panama and Union and at Niles and Fairfax. In addition, LRG is developing a fourth CVS store to be opened in 2010 in Bakersfield at the intersection of Rosedale and Calloway.

Jeremy Just, principal and CEO of LandMark Retail Group, says that the firm is "aggressively looking to locate new development sites in strategic locations on behalf of CVS CareMark." LRG has been a preferred developer since 2005 for CVS/Pharmacy, the retail division of CVS Caremark Corp., which is America's largest retail pharmacy with more than 7,000 stores.
