"The FDIC's lease at Woodfield Corporate Center is the result of considerable work by brokers on both sides of what was a very complex transaction," says Mark Brecheen, SVP of KBS. The FDIC will occupy the entire building.

KBS purchased the 200 N. Martingdale Rd. building in September 2005. The Woodfield Corporate Center, which sits near Interstates 290 and 355, contains class A office space, a 395-key Marriott Hotel, conference center and fitness center.

KBS owns more that 1.1 million square feet of office space in the Woodfield submarket, including 10 and 20 N. Martingdale Rd.

Mark Smith and Jack Reardon from CB Richard Ellis represented KBS. Keith Lavey and Jim Lockhart from Grubb & Ellis represented FDIC.
