"We selected Echo Plaza because of the very strong demographicsof the market, the high auto traffic of the location and theaccessibility to the site from neighboring communities," AmandaDeveaux of Stew Leonard's Wines and Spirits tells GlobeSt.com. "Weare very thorough in our site selection process and determined thatthis particular location met all of our requirements for asuccessful operation." She adds that the store will feature morethan 2,000 varieties of wine from around the world, a fine wineroom with top-rated wines and a gourmet cheese department. Thestore will also host weekly in-store samplings, as well as numerousspecial events and educational seminars featuring well known winemakers and award-winning wines.

Now owned by Larken Associates, Echo Plaza is situated on USRoute 22 near the Garden State Parkway in Union County in one ofNew Jersey's most heavily traveled commercial corridors. The dailytraffic count is 100,000, and the property is at the center of athree-mile population of nearly 103,000 with an average householdincome of $139,943 and a median household income of $99,243.

Other tenants at Echo Plaza include Outback Steakhouse, SherwinWilliams, Echoqua Italian bistro and Chen's 22 Chinese restaurant.A few smaller units are available, ranging from 1,400 square feetto 2,750 square feet.
