Jerry Shefsky, head of Aquarium Developments, told the WSJ that while the deal has not been finalized, he has lined up financial backing for the project and may start building out the space as early as this April with the goal of opening in September 2011. The idea would be to attract some of the 35 million people who pass through the Times Square area annually.

The WSJ noted that SJP is reportedly in talks with law firm Proskauer Rose LLP for 400,000 square feet at 11 Times Square, which to date has not announced any tenants. SJP and its financial partner on the project, Prudential Financial, declined to comment for the article, according to the WSJ. Click here for the complete article.
