"His leadership and management experience make him ideally suited to help us drive growth in our business as we pursue our strategic objectives," says Bob Sulentic, CEO of TCC. "In particular, we expect that his very successful history in Chicago will help create additional momentum for our business in that market."
In this new position, Queenan will oversee the TCC offices in Chicago, Austin, Dallas and Houston. He will be based out of Chicago. Additionally he will head the company's Healthcare Initiative.
Queenan tells GlobeSt.com that he is ready for the challenges ahead.
"My goal is to continue to embrace TCC's position as a leading development and investment company as well as being recognized as an excellent commercial real estate operator," he says. "Leveraging the firm's strong brand, I will also be focused on generating positive returns for our investor clients, providing best-in-class service for our clients and maintaining the entrepreneurial culture that TCC has built over the last 60 years."
In the Chicagoland area, TCC has a large development portfolio on its hands. It is working on heath care facilities at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital in Bolingbrook, IL and McLaren Regional Medical Center in Clarkston, MI. Additionally, it's developing student housing complexes at the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL and the University of Bloomington in Bloomington, IN as well as a 685,000-square-foot industrial facility in Joliet, IL, according to a company spokesperson.
In addition, the Chicago office of TCC is also looking at "development and investment opportunities within the office, industrial, retail, higher education, multi-family, mixed-use and airport facilities sectors throughout Chicago and surrounding states," according to the spokesperson.
Queenan says he looks forward to working with Shaun Frankfurt, the head of TCC"s Chicago office. "He and his team have done a great job building TCC's brand in Chicago over the last two years and capturing significant fee work, so I look forward to capitalizing on that success."
Queenan was with Opus North since 2005. Prior to that he was vice president of development for Ryan Cos.
