Murad's new building is at 1340 W. Storm Parkway and isscheduled to be completed during the first quarter forconsolidation and expansion of the El Segundo-based company's mainwarehouse/distribution center, according to Matt Stringfellow andCourtney Bell in the Klabin Co.’s Torrance office.Stringfellow and Bell represented represented the owner/developerof the business park, Torrance-based Storm Properties Inc. Murad,which was represented by John Schumacher of CB Richard Ellis, paid$7.2 million for the new building.

[IMGCAP(2)]The new building is one of three new facilitiestotaling 175,000 square feet developed by Storm Properties at thenew business park. During the second half of 2009, Room &Board, a home furnishings company, leased the largest building of70,233 square feet.

Despite the scarcity of acquisitions being completed intoday’s market with conventional financing, the Muraddeal closed because it involved a quality buyer and a qualitybuilding, Stringfellow says. Storm Business Park has one48,000-square-foot building remaining available.

In the Thousand Oaks lease, Woburn, MA-based Skyworks wasrepresented by CB Richard Ellis brokers Ken Ashen, in thebrokerage’s Ventura County office, and David Connolly inBoston. Sares-Regis represented itself in the lease, terms of whichwere undisclosed. The 60,000-square-foot building is part of the272,000-square-foot Arbors office park.
